Village SOS Roadshow for Yorkshire and Humber

VILLAGE SOS is staging a Roadshow for the Yorkshire and Humberside Region. The event at Doncaster Racecourse on Wednesday 19th October 2011 is one of 24 being held across the country with the aim of inspiring people about the benefits of Community Enterprise.

The roadshow events will present a unique opportunity for communities to get hands-on advice from rural and enterprise specialists from the Plunkett Foundation and its partners Co-operatives UK, Locality, and Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE)..

Inspirational examples of community enterprises will be on-hand to share their journey with other communities, and there will also be appearances from those featured in the BBC1 series Village SOS. The event in Doncaster will include appearances from Taste Tideswell’s Pete Hawkins and ‘village champion’ Tim Nicol.
