WordPress for Dummies
Looking forward to getting this! Everything you need to know about and in one book! Actually, it's 8 books in 1.

The Rough Guide to Blogging (Rough Guides Reference Titles)

“Navigate the blogosphere” and “Unleash your online voice…” are the bylines to this extremely useful book.

Although published in 2006 – a long time when discussing things to do with social media – this guide is still one of the best books on Blogging available.

Covering every aspect of the 'blogosphere' from starting and writing a blog, through to making money from blogging, the book is more of an ‘ultimate reference’ than a ‘rough guide’.

The book is entertaining and packed with examples and case-studies. It includes its very own ‘Blogroll’ reviews of 250 of the world’s most respected, notorious and infamous Blogs.

So if you are looking for a present to introduce yourself or friends to the world of Blogging – then this book is for you.

ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income

The sub-title for Problogger "Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income" is perhaps a bit mis-leading and should not be the reason to buy or not buy this book. It does not give any short-cuts to making a fortune through blogging as the title might imply, but instead gives expert advice on starting, maintaining and running a blog.

It covers essential information on developing your niche-audience and on keeping your blog in-tune with that audience. And, should you ever experience 'bloggers-block' i.e. not have a clue what your next Blog Post should be about, then Problogger is a source of inspiration!

Blogging for Dummies

As with most books in the 'Dummies' series, this book is probably the most significant guide to blogging that exists - and is at its best when used as a drop-in reference source for anything that interests you about the subject. I have never read it from front cover to back cover. Yet I find myself picking sections at random and reading thoroughly those parts that interest me almost every other day.

Recommendations and reviews by Ray Duff.
