EYMS: Bus service cuts and higher fares
IN BRIEF.... EYMS (East Yorkshire Motor Services) is warning that service cuts and fare increases are coming reports the Hull Daily Mail.
Every service will be reviewed, and it is likely that late night and rural services - those that carry fewer passengers - could be hit the hardest.
EYMS Chief Officer Peter Shipp says in the Mail that raising fares will be the preferred option to cutting services. An increase in fares is almost certain to be introduced before the end of the year.
In more positive news, the Mail also reports that EYMS Bus Service No. 76 will be re-introduced from October 31st. The half-hourly service is being re-instated following protests and petitions by passengers who felt they had been left isolated, following recent reductions and changes to bus services.

No shock here then, fares increasing! Maybe when they do this they will be able to use some of the money to print some up to date timetables out and get them put in position at the bus stops in and around Hedon.
