East Riding Council approves top pension payout

EAST RIDING COUNCIL has confirmed its decision to pay an early retirement package of £364,205 to one of its senior managers.

The discretionary payment to the Director of Corporate Resources Sue Lockwood was agreed by the Council's Cabinet at its meeting yesterday at which Council Chief Executive Nigel Pearson presented a report on the matter.

As reported in the Town Hall Rich List earlier this month, Sue Lockood with a total remuneration of £135,646, was one of 10 senior council officers in the East Riding earning over £100,000 in 2008-09.
