Thorngumbald Parish Council has a vacancy for a councillor

Parish Council Office
A BY-ELECTION TO FILL A VACANCY on Thorngumbald Parish Council will be held if 10 electors of the parish write to the chief executive of East Riding of Yorkshire Council at County Hall, Beverley, East Yorkshire, HU17 9BA, by Friday, 24 June 2011 claiming an election.

If the chief executive does not receive such a request, the parish council will be informed that it may fill vacancies by co-option, which means that the council members will elect a new member from those who have expressed an interest in joining the council.

At its full complement there are 10 members of Thorngumbald Parish Council. In the recent elections the parish was uncontested.

If you would like to discuss the role of parish councillor, please contact the clerk to the parish council, Mrs Avril Russell, Thorngumbald Village Hall, Main Road, Camerton, HU12 9NG on 01964 601111 or e-mail thorngumbaldpc@hotmail.com
