Yorkshire Water to invest £3m in tackling odour problem
THE HULL DAILY MAIL website reported yesterday morning that Yorkshire Water is to spend £3m in an attempt to resolve the foul stench from its Saltend treatment works.
According to the Mail the work involves building an additional odour control unit and is expected to start in April. This decision follows the company's decision last October to employ a consultant 'pong expert'.
Yorkshire Water has yet to formally announce the move on its Hull and Saltend news webpage.
